Topics

The Vanishing 24/7 Chambers
Although there are nearly 1,600 hyperbaric chambers in U.S. alone, the number of chambers willing to accept emergencies, including dive injuries, continues to decrease, potentially leading to longer treatment delays.

Don't Leave Your Liability Insurance on Cruise Control
Learn about DAN Professional Liability Insurance, protection from a trusted industry leader.

Ear and Sinus Barotrauma for the Dive Professional and Every Diver
Following a review of anatomy and dive physics, this presentation will cover techniques that dive educators can use to assist divers with equalization troubles, including prudent and appropriate use of various medications.

DAN Instructor/Instructor Trainer Update
This is the annual update for DAN Instructors and Instructor Trainers who teach DAN first-aid courses. The update will cover upcoming course tweaks and include tips for managing refreshers. If you have not taught in the last 24 months, attendance may count toward maintaining active teaching status.

Risk Mitigation for the Safety-Conscious Dive Operation: A Systematic Approach (DAN HIRA Program)
By being proactively aware of the risks, dive operators can play a critical role in ensuring the safety of their clients and, just as importantly, the safety of their staff and their business.

The DAN Emergency Hotline: Prepared for the Unusual
DAN Medical Services regularly fields calls that involve the unexpected and unusual, but each call is taken seriously and with respect.

Will My Emergency Plan Work When I Need It?
Emergency action plans are neither generic slates that cover all possible medical emergencies or "just call DAN." However, no two dive operations are the same, and it pays to customize your plans to your circumstances.
