DAN Instructor Trainer Workshop (ITW) DEMA

DAN Instructor Trainers conduct the DAN Instructor Qualification Course (IQC) for qualified individuals and model the teaching expected from DAN Instructors when conducting provider level courses. This two-day workshop is the mechanism for becoming a DAN Instructor Trainer.

COURSE PREREQUISITES
  • Be a current DAN member

  • Be an active DAN instructor AND have submitted at least three DAN first aid provider course rosters as the lead instructor

  • PLUS have one of the following:

    • Current scuba instructor trainer

    • IDC Staff (or equivalent) with DAN Diving Emergency Specialist Instructor

    • CPR/First Aid Instructor Trainer for a nationally recognized agency with DAN Diving Emergency Specialist Instructor


TWO OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE:
Package one (US$650):
  • Basic Life Support: CPR and First Aid

  • Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries

  • Neurological Assessment

  • First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries

  • Diving Emergency Management Provider (DEMP)


Package two (US$990):
  • Includes package 1 plus

  • CPR Health Care Provider with First Aid

  • Diving First Aid for Professional Divers


Registration Form

Advance registration and approval required. Once registration has been accepted and processed, invitations allowing access to the required online module will be extended. It must be completed before the workshop begins.
