PDE Extravaganza 2008 Project Dive Exploration (PDE) Extravaganza 2008 is back! The inaugural event in 2007 was an incredible success, so beginning on Memorial Day, we’re doing it again. DAN is challenging all divers who use a Level 3 compatible dive computer to share your dive profiles with DAN between Memorial Day (May 26, 2008) and Labor Day (September 1, 2008). Qualify to win prizes and contribute to diving safety research!

New to PDE?
Here is how to Participate:

You can participate if you use a Cochran, Dive Rite, Suunto, or Uwatec downloadable dive computer and already collect your dive profiles electronically using the latest version of the computer manufacturer’s software.
Complete the online Diver ID Enrollment Form to be entered into the PDE database and receive a Diver ID code.
Go diving, have fun and log your dives electronically according to the computer manufacturer’s software.
Enter your DAN Diver ID in the appropriate field and export the dives to DAN.

Are you already a regular contributor to PDE, or did you participate last year?
You don’t have to change anything. Simply continue diving and submitting your dive profiles to DAN using the DiverID number issued to you last year. We’ll count your submitted dives during this period and enter you in the raffle for the grand prize.

Are you using a Level 2 (ReefNet) dive computer/recorder? If so, and you are interested in participating in the PDE Extravaganza, please contact DAN Research to find out how.

Submit ten (10) or more dives completed between Memorial Day and Labor Day 2008 and receive a specially designed t-shirt* at the end of the challenge. In addition you will automatically get one entry into a drawing for a DAN Gift Certificate worth $250.00**. You’ll receive another entry for every additional five (5) dives submitted; there’s no limit to how many times you can be entered! So, the more dives you send to DAN Research, the greater your chances of winning the Grand Prize.

You have until September 30, 2008 to submit your dives for the PDE Extravaganza and the winner will be announced on October 22, 2008 at the DEMA Show.

* A separate email from DAN Research (research@dan.org) will be sent to you on October 1, 2008 requesting your t-shirt size and preferred mailing address. If you do not respond with a shirt size, you will be sent an XL.

** Qualifying dives must be completed between May 26 and September 1, 2008. We will draw one lucky winner from all entries, and that person will receive a grand prize of $250 to spend at DAN (some redemption restrictions may apply).
