Night diving is perhaps one of the most popular specialties in recreational diving — and one of the most fascinating aspects of the sport. For many divers, an opportunity to visit the underwater realm under cover of darkness opens up an entirely new world of wonder and excitement.
Still, divers may find that any problems encountered in a darkened environment are more difficult to resolve, resulting in heightened stress and anxiety. The June/July Safety Survey is designed to ferret out the issues and problems that crop up when diving in darkness. If you’ve ever had a problem on a night dive – problems with lights or other equipment, difficulties in resolving situations that develop, issues with navigation, communication or surface signaling, or even bouts of anxiety or panic – we would like to hear about it.
Please take a few minutes to visit our website and complete our safety survey. You’ll be doing your part to improve diver safety.
