Divers Alert Network (DAN) and the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) are jointly sponsoring a workshop on diabetes and diving in conjunction with the June, 2005 UHMS Annual Scientific
Meeting.
The June 19th workshop, titled Diabetes and Diving: Guidelines for the Future, will review the current state of clinical
diabetes knowledge; present the most recent data addressing diabetes and diving collected worldwide, and, aims to revise guidelines for
diving with diabetes.
The workshop is primarily designed for physicians interested in diving medicine, and those involved in training who may have students with diabetes.
This will be a one day CME activity for which proceedings will be published.
To register for the workshop, please go to the UHMS website at www.uhms.org and complete the UHMS registration form for the annual meeting. You do not need to be a member of UHMS to participate in the workshop nor do you need to attend the full UHMS conference. You will just need to register for
the diabetes workshop.
