 DAN Member F. Jeffrey Charney, M.D., of Denton, Texas, sent us this photo of his son-in-law holding up a tattered DAN flag on Grenada after Hurricane Ivan hit the island. Dr. Charney and his family and friends stayed at the Rex Grenadian Hotel and dove before the hurricane with DAN Business Member Devotion 2 Ocean, St. George's, Grenada. (See here for a report from that resort.) Dr. Charney added that he had to leave all his equipment on the island, as he got out on a small chartered plane to escape the damaged properties and beach.
