 Divers Alert Network announces the closing of the 2007 Online Auction. Running from Nov. 1-30 on eBay, bidders had 10 days to bid for an item in a rolling method designed to keep the site new and content fresh.
“Thanks for ending our year on a high note with your support of the 2007 Online Auction," noted Beth Hawkins, DAN Chief Financial Officer. "We hope you have a great 2008. Stay tuned for details on our 2008 Auction — it will be better than ever.”
The auction helps DAN each year by providing funding for DAN Research and other Outreach Programs. Funds raised from highest bids are used to support the DAN Mission.
DAN Auction Partners include dive business operators, artists and others; they have provided wetsuits, drysuits, tanks, dive accessories, vacations, books, cameras, clothing, jewelry and airline tickets.
"We extend heartfelt thanks to our Auction Partners for their generosity and willingness to further cause of dive safety," said Development Specialist Michele Harrison, who has been with DAN 15-plus years.
"We're grateful for the outstanding support DAN has received from industry partners," added Hawkins. "They make it all possible."
