Delta, Echo, and Foxtrot chambers are designed for a pressure of 31.3 ATA (1 000 feet of sea water) provided by gases such as air, helium-oxygen, or a helium-nitrogen-oxygen mix. Delta chamber is a sphere
that is 10' 6" in diameter with 35 inch access doors to the Charlie and Foxtrot chambers, and a 30-inch hatch connecting it to the wet chamber below (Echo). Echo chamber has an internal diameter of 6' 6" and is 10' 6" long. In addition to filling it with water, Echo chamber is internally insulated to permit simulated diving in water that has been cooled to 0 degrees celsius or heated to 150 degrees celsius. Foxtrot chamber is an 18 foot long cylinder with an internal diameter of 10' 6" and is fitted with shower and toilet facilities. A short tunnel connects Delta chamber to Golf chamber.
