DAN's nonprofit services and philanthropic outreach programs are supported through the generosity of our members. We rely on donations from members and businesses in addition to membership dues, the purchase of plans from the DAN Dive Accident Insurance Program and royalties from the use of the DAN MasterCard.

DAN is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (PDF: 121 KB). Each donation to DAN is tax deductible and represents a contribution to its mission of helping divers in need of emergency medical assistance and promoting dive safety through research, education, products and services.
DAN's nonprofit services and philanthropic outreach programs are supported through the generosity of our members, and that generosity takes many forms. Some divers support DAN through personal donations, while others enjoy getting together with others to hold a fundraiser. Still others choose to fund specific endowments or programs, and, finally, some are beginning to use DAN's planned giving program.
