This two-day workshop will address the physiology, performance and health and safety of breath-hold diving. Presentations will consider both recreational and competitive breath-hold diving and the most recent scientific developments. The meeting will include both scheduled speakers and free communications by those submitting research abstracts.
The workshop is jointly sponsored by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and Divers Alert Network (DAN). The organizing committee includes Dr. Peter Lindholm, Dr. Neal Pollock, and Dr. Claes Lundgren.

Proceedings will be published following the meeting. This publication will include full papers by scheduled speakers, extended abstracts (600-800 words) for free communications, and edited text of the workshop discussions.
