Save Your Spot for Popular DAN Training Programs
DEMA Show 2009 is once again around the corner, and DAN is ready to go with an exciting slate of programs, incentives and events. It’s a special year for us, as DEMA will be the kickoff of our yearlong 30th anniversary celebration. We can’t possibly list all we have in store, but here are a few important items to note:
The DAN booth will be located at #1019 and #919; be sure to stop by and say hello. If you want to call ahead to make an appointment for your time with us, please contact the Business Membership department at (877) 532-6776 or email BizMember@DiversAlertNetwork.org.
The schedule of DAN Training programs is now available. Space is limited, so several sessions do require registration. Past years have seen waitlists, as these popular programs are list-toppers for many dive professionals. This year’s course list includes training for both DAN Instructors and Instructor Trainers, as well as introductions to and crossover training for two new DAN Training programs: DAN Basic Life Support and First Aid and Dive Medicine for Divers, Part 2.
If you are not attending DEMA but would like to complete a DAN Training program or would like information on the new Training courses, please visit the Events section of our website, or contact DAN Training at (919) 684-2948 or oxygen@diversalertnetwork.org.
The complete schedule of Medicine and Research seminars is also available. On tap this year are topics ranging from travel planning for remote locations to physical fitness issues. Brought to you by some of the industry’s best — including Dr. Richard Vann, Dr. Neal Pollock, Donna Uguccioni, DAN Medics Dr. Matías Nochetto and Brian Harper, 2009 DAN Intern Lana Sielski and Dr. Frans Cronjé of DAN Southern Africa — DAN Medicine and Research seminars are entertaining and informative. No registration is required.
Finally, mark your calendar for Nov. 4 to attend the party of the year! The 6th Annual Dive Industry BASH will kick off the festivities on the first night of DEMA Show, and you’re all invited. The party will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Ballroom C at the Rosen Centre Hotel. The BASH is brought to you once again by DAN, NAUI, Dive Center Business magazine and our new partner in partying, TUSA! More details will be coming, but save the date now — you won’t want to miss it!
We’ll see you in Orlando!
DAN Is Here For You.
