Current and Former Interns Team Up To Raise Money for Program
A DAN internship is a remarkable experience, one that opens professional doors and career opportunities for the extraordinary young men and women who complete DAN’s program each year.
As the DAN Internship Program celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2009, current and former DAN interns are banding together to give back to the organization by raising funds for the program that enriched their lives.
Each intern is being challenged to raise at least $500 during the months of July, August and September, and all proceeds will go to support the program. The goal is to raise enough money to fund additional internship opportunities.
“DAN is very proud of each and every one of its interns,” said Donna Uguccioni, research coordinator for DAN. “Each one of them contributed greatly during their time with us, and it’s gratifying to know they got so much out of it, too. They not only want to give back, but they also want to create additional opportunities for future interns. That’s pretty special.”
Prizes will be awarded to the intern who raises the most money, although each participant will receive a thank-you in the form of a specially designed T-shirt.
For additional information or to contribute to the challenge, contact Uguccioni via email or by calling (919) 684-2948 ext. 627.
The 2009 Intern Challenge runs July 1–Sept. 30, 2009.
