Pricing & Production Schedule Exposure Giant Stride is the magazine of the DAN Student Membership Program. DAN Student Membership is a unique program offered free to all entry-level divers by Divers Alert Network, which provides up to $20,000 recompression treatment insurance. DAN provides this program as part of our non-profit mission objectives to help and support all divers. Giant Stride will be distributed to more than: 40,000 student members each year 1,200 dive businesses in the Americas 3,500 dive professionals in the Americas Giant Stride will also be available to DAN Business Members for their personal distribution at no charge. Print Run Giant Stride has single print run of 75,000 copies. Pricing Giant Stride advertising is available in both full-page and half-page sizes. Please allow 1/4" for bleeds and at least 3/4" of space at binding edge Full Page: $10,300 Half Page: $6,400 Size Full Page: 8" x 8" Half Page: Horizontal 8" x 4" Half Page: Vertical 4" x 8"		Mechanical Requirements Giant Stride is produced using entirely digital methods. All ad materials must be submitted in a digital format. Supplied materials that do not comply with the following specifications will be corrected and the advertiser billed for the required production. For ALL full- and partial-page ads and your electronic files, please provide the following: • For color ads, SWOP-certified color proofs. The following are the ONLY acceptable electronic file formats: Preferred format: (Mac or PC platforms) Adobe PDF files of at least 300 dpi resolution. All fonts must be resident. All ads must be CMYK. For black-and-white ads, black must be the only color used. Next best format (Mac or PC) • Adobe InDesign, v. 2 or higher; include all fonts (Postscript Type 1) and linked graphics. Do NOT use TTF or Postscript Type 3 fonts. • Adobe Illustrator v. 9.x or higher; In Adobe Illustrator, all fonts must be converted to curves, all CMYK linked graphics must be saved within the files & all original linked and / or placed graphics must be included. Acceptable, but not preferred, formats (Mac platform only) • Adobe PageMaker v. 6.x or higher, QuarkXpress v. 3.x or higher. Include all fonts and linked graphics. Do NOT use TTF or Postscript Type 3 fonts. Color All graphics and photos MUST be four-color mode (CMYK) at 300 dpi. Standard CMYK setting is US Web Coated (SWOP) v.2. If RGB images are supplied with file, these will be converted to CMYK at an additional charge to advertiser. There will be no black and white ads. All Ads All fonts and linked items MUST be included on disc. Include all members of the font "families." Do NOT leave stray text or graphics in the "pasteboard" area (outside the image area). Please do NOT send JPG, GIF, CorelDraw, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Publisher (etc.) files. These formats are not supported by electronic prepress standards and practices and cannot be used. DAN Communications can accept files sent on CD, DVD or Zip Disk. Arrangements can also be made to accept files via the internet. Contact DAN Marketing for more information.

Terms & Conditions Advertisers and advertising agencies assume liability for all content of advertisements printed (including text, representation, illustrations, sketches, maps, labels, trademark or other copyright matter) and also assume responsibility for any claims against the publisher. The publisher reserves the right to reject advertisements for the direct-to-consumer sale of scuba equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, masks, fins, snorkels, regulators, exposure suits and BCDs. This policy is an independent decision of DAN management, and it is not influenced by any other business or organization. The publisher reserves the right to reject any advertising that does not conform to publication standards. Publisher is not liable for errors in key numbers and advertisers index. Any deliberate attempt to simulate a publication’s format is not permitted, and the publisher reserves the right to place the word "advertisement" when copy, in the publisher’s opinion, resembles editorial matter. Conditions, other than rates, are subject to change by publisher without notice. All advertisements and contents of advertisements are subject to publisher’s approval. Publisher reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertisement, insertion order, space reservation or position commitment at any time if for any reason publisher deems the advertisement to be unacceptable. Positioning of advertisements is at the discretion of the publisher except where an arrangement for a specific preferred position is acknowledged in writing. Publisher shall not be liable for errors in the Reader Service Card or advertiser’s index. It is understood that Reader Service is a free service offered by Alert Diver to its readers, and has no connection with advertising contracts and cannot be part of the advertising space contract between advertiser and publisher. Advertisements received by publisher’s advertising production department after the closing date will not be entitled to the privilege of OK or revision by the advertiser or its agency. Cancellations will not be accepted after closing dates. Advertisers will be short-rated if, within the contract period, contracted ad space is not used. The applicable ad rate based on space actually used will determine amount due. If contracted rate/space used qualifies for a lower published rate, advertisers will be charged the applicable rate earned.. The publisher assumes no liability for failure to print an advertisement. The advertisement may be placed in the following publication. Publisher is not responsible for errors in any advertisements. The publisher will not be liable under any circumstances for any damages (including consequential damages) as a result of either the failure to print any advertisement or of the appearance of any errors in any advertisement as published. Publisher shall have the right to hold advertiser and/or its advertising agency jointly liable for such monies as are due and payable to publisher for advertising that advertiser or its agency ordered and which advertising was published. No conditions other than those set forth in the rate card shall be binding on the publisher unless specifically agreed to in writing by the publisher. Publisher will not be bound by conditions printed or appearing on order blanks or copy instructions submitted by or on behalf of the advertiser when such condition conflicts with any provisions contained within the rate card. Publisher is not liable for delays in delivery and/or non-delivery in the event of an act of God, action by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity, fire, flood, accidents, insurrections, riot, explosion, embargo, strikes (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down or any circumstance that are beyond the control of publisher and that affect production or delivery in any manner. Failure to make insertion orders correspond in price or otherwise with the rate schedule is regarded only as a clerical error and publication is made and charged for upon the terms of the schedule in force without further notice. It is the responsibility of the advertiser and its agency to ensure that all inserts and other advertising complies with the U.S. postal regulations and other applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Invoices are due upon receipt. Late payments are subject to a finance charge of 1.5% per month on any balance, 60 days or more after the billing date. As used in this section titled "Terms and Conditions" the term "publisher" shall refer to the publisher or management of Giant Stride Magazine. Any advertisement in Giant Stride does not imply any support or endorsement by DAN.
