| Presidente InterContinental Cozumel will be the host site for the 68th DAN Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine Course, Oct. 23-30, 2010.
This six-day course is designed primarily for physicians, emergency medical personnel, paramedics and nurses. Instructors, divemasters and other non-medical, diving-related personnel with interest in diving medicine will also find the course valuable.
Course goals are to provide the facts relevant to the prevention and management of dive accidents and the practice of diving and hyperbaric medicine. The program includes lectures, case presentations, printed support materials, and both formal and informal discussion sessions with faculty.
The course fee is $650 until Sept. 15. The course fee increases to $750 after Sept. 15. The course fee for individuals not booking the exclusive DAN-Presidente InterContinental package will be $850. The course fee includes course materials, course shirt, CME credit (commensurate with participation) and farewell reception.
An exclusive package has been assembled for DAN CME course participants that includes lodging, meals and diving; full access to the Mandara Spa steam, shower and Jacuzzi facilities; 10 percent off Mandara Spa treatments; and complimentary wireless Internet in guest rooms. The resort also has an on-site children’s club, putting green, tennis courts and a 24-hour fitness center.
The island of Cozumel rests on top of the structures of the Mayan coral reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world, where divers can enjoy the ease of drift diving. Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa is set on one-half mile of white, sandy beach surrounded by natural vegetation. The ocean-view rooms reserved for this event look out upon the Caribbean Sea.
