TRAINING
Training is based on programs developed by Divers Alert Network, the world’s leading expert in dive safety. At the core is DAN’s revised Diving Emergency Management Provider program. This new DEMP lineup is more robust and includes CPR BLS, Emergency Oxygen, First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries and Neurological Assessments. Additional training opportunities include BLS HCP, Dive Medicine for Divers Parts 1, 2 & 3 and Diving First Aid for Professional Divers. Provider, Instructor and Instructor Trainer tracks are being offered for all DAN courses.
Utilizing a revolutionary approach, this program will build upon classroom presentations and practical skills by providing you the opportunity to use that training during classroom scenarios in actual diving environments. Moving out of the classroom and into the real world will solidify your self-confidence and ability to respond to a dive emergency.
This Diving Emergency Symposium applies a simple strategy – have fun while learning. Each day begins with training in the morning followed by an optional unique theme dive adventure in the afternoon.
DIVING
Planned dives include diving Cancun’s Underwater Museum with Jason deCaires Taylor, the Museum’s Sculptor & Creator, The Great Mesoamerican Reef – The World’s Second Largest Barrier Reef System, Chankanaab Park, Cozumel’s most visited park, and a crystal clear fresh water jungle cenote that the Yucatan is famous for.
LOCATION
Training and accommodations are in the Heart of Cancun’s Hotel Zone which boasts powder white sand beaches and turquoise Caribbean water.
